Qualified, dedicated and nurturing staff in all playrooms. The bright, cozy playrooms are equipped with culturally appropriate, educational, C.S.A. approved toys and equipment. Daily indoor and outdoor programming that is stimulating, challenging and culturally ingrained; adhering to D.N.A. Standards and guidelines: following Curve Lake First Nation policies and regulations.

We accommodate special needs children and are wheelchair accessible.

We have an extensive Native Language and Culture program that has been in operation since 1981. This program owns an Island, three canoes, two tipis, one motor boat and one pontoon boat. We have a full-time Language and Culture Instructor who is accessible to all programs. During the summer this program operates from our Island on a daily basis with one or two weeks of overnight camping.

Infant Program

  10 infant spaces available 6 weeks to 18 months of age

  15 toddler spaces available 18 months to 3.8 years of age.

  1 supervisor with E.C.E diploma and B.A.Ed.

  2 teachers with E.C.E. diplomas

  4 assistant teachers, 2 of whom are in training for their N.E.C.E. diploma

 

Main Program

  26 spaces available for 2.5 years to 5 years of age

  1 supervisor with E.C.E diploma

  2 teachers with E.C.E. diplomas

  1 Native language instructor with Native Language teaching certificate            
                                                                           

School Age Program

  30 spaces available for children 5 years to 12 years

  10 extra spaces for summer, p.a. days and school holidays

  1 supervisor with N.E.C.E diploma

  1 teacher with N.E.C.E. diploma and Native Languages teaching certificate

  1 assistant teacher in training for an N.E.C.E. diploma
